The word POOP has some very different meanings.
A ship has a poop deck. Being pooped is the same as being tired or exhausted. And then there’s that stinky poop on the lawn that no one wants to step in.
Here, though, poop refers to “current, up-to-date or inside information” — some of which can be really stinky, too. Since the interesting local poop is also the poop seldom discussed, I thought there should be a place for those who would rather kick it, then walk around it.
And the word LOCAL is very relative. Some consider their neighborhood as “local” while others consider all metro-Atlanta as “local”— your map may vary.
QUESTION AUTHORITY
I’ve always been one to say what’s on my mind, and frankly, my mind never takes a break. I learned early on how important it is to ask “why?” — and ask it often. Why don’t more people question those in authority? It’s amazing how often those authority figures do not know the answer to “why?” — or if they are masters at it, provide deceptions for answers. Why was it that we invaded Iraq? And no, this is not about politics. Far from it. Local Poop is completely non-partisan. It’s about raising awareness, and asking “why?”
MAKE EYE CONTACT
Eye contact will usually provide a good indication if the answer is honest, but not always. Just ask anyone who has known a pathological liar. They are truly frightening, as they have mastered the ability to deceive.
Personally, I’m respectful of others, without regard to gender, nationality, color, creed, handycap or age. And my respect extends to animals. I am passive, trusting, passionate and unquestionably honest. Unfortunately, though, I’ve discovered that those of us with similar traits can easily become vulnerable targets of the shameless masters of deception and manipulation. You probably know one personally, though not well enough to really know.

PS: Local Poop is certainly not about me (a.k.a. Scoop), which is why I will remain a ghost writer. I am a very private citizen, not affiliated with any group whatsoever, law enforcement or politics. But chances are they will be on the agenda.

2) Then there’s the use of a scoop for poop (not my first choice)
